First Christian Church of Wolfeboro is pleased to announce that Pastor Franco Martinez has been installed as the church's new Senior Pastor following an extensive pastoral search and congregational confirmation.

The Pastoral Search Committee spent several months prayerfully seeking the church's next pastor. The committee reviewed numerous candidates, conducted interviews, checked references, listened to sermons, and sought God's direction throughout the process. After presenting its recommendation to the Church Council and congregation, the congregation confirmed Pastor Martinez as the church's next Senior Pastor on August 6, 2026.
Pastor Martinez brings more than sixteen years of pastoral ministry experience to First Christian Church. He began his ministry as a Youth Pastor in New York, followed by an Associate Pastor position in Connecticut, before becoming Connections Pastor at Bethany in Agawam, Massachusetts. Most recently, he served as Lead Pastor of an interdenominational church in West Tennessee.
He holds a bachelor's degree in Ministry Leadership from the University of Valley Forge. His ministry is centered on faithful biblical preaching, discipleship, and equipping believers to grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ.
"One of the strongest themes that emerged from our congregation's input was the desire for a pastor who faithfully teaches God's Word and helps the church grow spiritually," said Bob Kennedy, Chairman of the First Christian Church Council. "We believe Pastor Franco's biblical preaching, pastoral experience, and genuine love for people are a wonderful fit for our church."
Pastor Martinez and his wife, Jackie, have two daughters, Ryleigh Grace and Mackenzie Joy. The family has deep roots in New England. Jackie grew up in the Boston area, while Franco spent 5 years serving in Connecticut. Together, they also spent four years serving at Bethany in Agawam, Massachusetts.
The Martinez family also has a personal connection to Wolfeboro, as Jackie's mother has lived in the community for the last two years. The family is looking forward to putting down roots in the area and becoming an active part of the Wolfeboro community.
